أقيم بقاعة المؤتمرات بجامعة ظفار بصلالة اللقاء الإعلامي للإعلان عن الاستعدادات الجارية للمسيرة السنوية للجمعية العمانية للسرطان فرع محافظة ظفار والتي ستقام هذا العام تحت شعار “سد فجوة الرعاية” وذلك بالتعاون مع جامعة ظفار والتي تقام في السادس عشر من الشهر الجاري بساحة الجامعة.
حضر اللقاء العديد من الإعلاميين، وأعضاء الجمعية العمانية للسرطان بظفار وعددًا من أعضاء الجامعة ترأس اللقاء سالم بن عوض النجار رئيس الجمعية وعمر علي الشحري مدير مركز خدمة المجتمع والتعليم المستمر.
افتتح اللقاء بكلمة ترحيبية لرئيس الجمعية ثمن فيها الجهود المبذولة من قبل جامعة ظفار، وتعاونهم في المسيرة لهذا العام مؤكدًا على أهمية تعاون المجتمع المحلي لدعم مثل تلك الفعاليات التي تساهم في التخفيف عن مرضى السرطان،
ونشر الوعي المجتمعي عن أهمية الكشف المبكر للحد من المرض، والتأكيد على ممارسة الرياضة وتناول الطعام الصحي ،
ثم أعلن النجار عن الفعاليات التي تصاحب المسيرة والتي يشارك فيها بعض المؤسسات المجتمعية حيث سيشارك مجلس إشراقات ثقافية بركن القصة والرسم والتلوين وكذلك ركن الحقيبة الدولية لألعاب القوى والعديد من المشاركات،
كما تتضمن الفعاليات التي تستهدف جميع أفراد الأسرة مسابقات وجوائز للأطفال والكبار وفي نهاية كلمته قدم الشكر لمجلس إدارة الجامعة وكل من ساهم في المسيرة لدعم مرضى السرطان.
بعد ذلك تحدث عمر علي الشحري مدير مركز خدمة المجتمع والتعليم المستمر بجامعة ظفار الذي رحب بالحضور حيث أوضح خطة استعداد جامعة ظفار للمسيرة السنوية لجمعية السرطان
وأبدى سعادته بتعاون الجامعة مع الجمعية في هذا الحدث الكبير ثم قدم شرحا للمسيرة عن طريق العرض المرئي الذي يوضح نقطة انطلاق المسيرة وخط سيرها إلى النهاية.
